I once had a dog that would respond to my commands promptly. Every time he would hear his name, his ears would perk up and ready to respond. However, he started to hang out with a nearby dog that was not as trained. What was the consequence? My dog started to manifest unacceptable behavior, so much so, I had to restrict him from keeping company with this other dog. What is my point? There is an incontrovertible fact that we are influenced by the good or bad, regardless, of whether we are human or otherwise, by those we associate. It is a sociological fact that our behavior changes enormously if we are with others rather than by ourselves, it will be either for the better or the worse. So, what kind of an individual do we prefer to latch onto? Surround yourself with individuals you admire for accomplishing the goals for which you are striving.
Someone that is going to teach you a new skill, a new insight, a new strategy, or something to inspire you. Note what the one who mentored Tony Robbins had to say regarding our associates, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” By Jim Rohn Author and Entrepreneur
