Failure is not a bad thing; it only means that we have to adjust our approach that will get you to your goal or success. It is a little unsettling to know that 9 out of 10 businesses fail. However, it’s often said that failure doesn't stop people, it's how people handle failure that stops them. It also has been said that we need to learn from our mistakes, personally, with all due respect, I rather learn by observing the mistakes of others, thereby avoiding heartache altogether. Therefore, my recommendation is for you to read at least 30 minutes per day on topics that will compel you to become a better parent, husband, wife, friend or improve your business acumen.
Note the following healthy perspective of failure, Thomas Edison's associate, Walter S. Mallory, once said to him, "Isn't it a shame that with the tremendous amount of work you have done you haven't been able to get any results?” Edison responded, with a smile, "Results! Why, man, I have gotten a lot of results! I know several thousand things that won't work."
