The father of medicine, Hippocrates, was reported to say that ( make your food your medicine) of which those are my exact sentiments. And along the way, there have been many other phrases attributed to food and health such as (you are what you eat) and so forth.
However, in a recent episode, my guest from Europe had a high intolerance to gluten found in wheat and other food products that caused her to have severe health issues, and you must wonder what has changed in the production of grains during the last 50 years of cross-pollinating grain.

The likelihood of two snow crystals or snowflake that will be precisely the same in molecular structure is minute. In fact, to prove it, would present quite a daunting task since there are a trillion trillion) snow crystals that fall from the sky every year! Similarly, the human brain is diametrically different in molecular structure among almost nine billion people that exist today, we must conclude, no two brains are the same.
In a recent episode, my guest strongly advocates that we have everything we need to create the optimal life we want. He believes that many of us are not aware of the most state-of-the-art GPS system that is built within us. He refers to it as a change in basic assumptions, enabling us to manage stress and anything that puts us at the mercy of our personal circumstances. From my perspective, it is possible to find solutions or if there are none for the moment, there is a definite hope that enables us to cope. It has been said that the Greeks had a word that would define every name, place, and things such as the true meaning of love. In fact, the quality of love was described in four distinct aspects that there was no question of the context being employed. For example, first, the special love between mother and child is the word (Storge) in Greek, however, interestingly there is no word for the love between father and child. The closest definition would be the second term, (Agape), meaning principal love which is the most referred term in the inspired writings of the scriptures which is very telling in how we should care for one another as a human family. Then, there is the third, (Philia), meaning brotherly love of which has the meaning of being the best of friends, which are exceedingly rare if we do not avail ourselves. Incidentally, the fourth, (Eros), refers to romantic love. We can only conclude unequivocally that mothers play an integral part in the well-being of the family.
The origin of (Mentor) Comes directly from Greek mythology traditionally attributed to the ancient Greek poet Homer where he wrote of Athena who serves as a mentor and inspiration for Telemachus in this epic poem. Without getting into the writing details of Homer, the principles of mentoring and inspiring others are by no means a mythological concept.
In a recent episode, a retired Royal Canadian Mounty shared the importance of effective mentoring someone in need of personal attention in terms of coping with past horrific trauma of which my guest also experienced. From the time of standing in line to get on the slide, we have an inherent sense of what is right and wrong, and it is brought to light when someone crowds in, there is an immediate explosion of protest.
It is no wonder the rule of law is essential for maintaining order in any society. My guest this week is an attorney who believes in the concept of advocating (legal wellness). He finds it interesting that there is a plethora of books and articles promoting health wellness, financial wellness, but hard pressed to find how we can maintain (legal wellness.) |
